Sabine van der Ham

The FELY collection is a modular luminaire consisting of three different parts. All parts are cut in an infinitive way, making the material foldable. By means of binding screws, the parts can be attached to each other, and it becomes a complete object. Acoustics have also been considered, due to the use of materials and the size of the fixture, it also has a good acoustic value. The FELY is made of PET felt and produced in such a way that it can be sent as a flat package. This makes it doubly sustainable, not only in material use but also in shipping!

Vision

Light is always around us. I enjoy sunbeams that, scattered by objects, form an exciting play of light or conjure up diamonds on the water. These beautiful moments of light are captured in my designs. The surprising design elevates the luminaires to true art and gives the light an extra dimension. With the reuse of materials I want to contribute to the preservation of my source of inspiration; nature.

Reation to Expo

How the same place or object will always
evoke diverse perceptions by each
individual continues to amaze me. How those places, feelings, and experiences will live on in so many different forms as a memory, and carry a different meaning for each person.
